Nicolas is the reason this initiative began. Seeking support for his treatment inspired a vision to help other families in the future.

Nicolas has had medical follow-up since his first days of life and has always kept up with his appointments. His first surgery was an important step, but he still needs further care. His family now faces the challenge of paying for surgeries and more advanced treatment.

His first months of life

According to his family, difficulty urinating was noticed when he was four days old, along with his first urinary tract infection. Nicolas spent about two weeks in hospital. After returning home, he had further infections; even after a catheter was inserted, the episodes continued.

At around one month old, he began another hospital stay, lasting approximately three months, in a unit specializing in babies with complex congenital conditions. His family recalls that during this time he developed a hospital-acquired infection that became widespread, and he lost a great deal of weight.

His parents remember fearing they might lose him and the strength with which he endured such a difficult time. Nicolas survived and continued receiving medical care. Ages and time periods are approximate, as recalled by his family.

Now that he is a teenager, the challenges of treatment also affect his self-esteem and life at school. His family reports that bullying related to his condition has caused emotional distress. Nicolas deserves to experience these years with care, respect and greater independence.

For his parents, securing the funds for the next steps in his care is a priority. This campaign aims to make the surgeries and treatments recommended by his medical team possible, while also supporting his emotional well-being.

The initial goal of US$ 35,000.00 will help pay outstanding hospital bills and other expenses related to Nicolas’ care, and support the next steps in his treatment, guided by his medical team. This amount will not be enough to complete his entire treatment and does not represent its total cost or a final surgery quote.

His father recalls: “Nicolas was very scared — it was his first baby tooth. Following a custom we knew from Brazil, I attached dental floss to his tooth and to the door, leaving him to make the movement himself. Even though he was afraid, he found the courage to push the door, and his little tooth came out.”

HOPE is a community token launched on Solana through pump.fun, inspired by HOPE FOR LIFE. Our vision is to support future medical fundraising as the initiative develops. This does not guarantee donations or funding for treatment. Any future allocation of revenue requires its own rules and financial reporting; the allocation and voting model is still under discussion.

Buying HOPE is different from donating to Nicolas. The full purchase amount does not go to his campaign. The price can change and the token may lose all value. No financial returns are promised.

Can my donation be allocated to another person?

Fundraising at this stage is dedicated to Nicolas’s campaign. Other campaigns or a general fund will disclose their purpose and rules before accepting contributions. A designated donation will not be redirected without the donor’s permission.

How can I help from another country?

Use the PayPal button to choose an amount in USD, or donate on Solana, Ethereum or Bitcoin using the corresponding network’s address. PayPal payment options vary by country and account. This campaign’s PayPal page accepts one-time donations for Nicolas; his father, Aridelson Da silva, is the recipient. Vakinha is presented as a Brazilian channel.

Is HOPE FOR LIFE a registered charity?

No. At this stage, it is an independent initiative to raise awareness of Nicolas’s medical fundraiser.

Has the HOPE token launched?

Do crypto donations appear on Vakinha?
